About Me

I’m Ash, a dedicated counsellor in the Canberra region. I specialise in supporting people with ADHD, coping better with emotions, and parenting.

I grew up in Canberra and love the landscapes and people here. I worked in community services, running youth centres, working in mental health and disability support, in out of home care, emergency accommodation, and in legal systems. I chose to study counselling because I wanted to help people learn the tools and find the root cause of what was going on for them, to help them make more sustainable change. I recognised people were suffering and stuck, and I wanted to provide more practical and effective support. I studied at the University of Canberra after completing my undergraduate psychology degree, and earned a Master of Counselling degree.

Let’s connect and start your journey together.

I like to bake. Unfortunately for those around me, I’m still yet to make something that’s any good!

Fun facts about me

I love making music. I play guitar, bass, piano, drums, and violin.

I am absolutely a dog person. I have two beautiful doggies. A chihuahua X poodle and a spoodle.

I know that counselling can be nerve-wracking and we often expect ourselves to ‘get it right’ or do it perfectly.

All I ask is that you have a go - we can take it together from there.

I use a variety of therapeutic modalities, tailoring my approach to your needs. This integrated approach allows me to help you unpack the root causes of the problem and what might be keeping you feeling stuck. We can work together on better ways to cope and problem-solve so that you can live the life you want to live.

I use trauma-informed practices, recognizing the deep and lasting impact that trauma can have on individuals, particularly those involved in the legal system or in care.
